Quite recently I've been feeling something strange, something inside of me that's been growing, a sense of discontent but until a few days I couldn't quite figure out what that something was. Then, BAM!!! on the often packed tube travelling home listening to The Killers, as is my want these past few days, it hit me! In a flash it all made perfect sense, what I was and still am feeling is/was that there must be something more, something much more than this to life. I want to make a difference in my life, not just get up, work 8 hours, eat, sleep, get up, work 8 hours, eat, sleep, etc. etc. repeat to fade, but I want to make a real difference, I don't mean in my life but to this planet, this world. Only.....I don't know how to, that's the one thing I haven't figured out yet!
As to why I've been feeling like this I'm not entirely sure, maybe a small part of it has to do with starting my new job and what will hopefully be the start of my career and therein lies the realization, that the routine I'm in now will be the same 40 or 50 years from now too, then again it could be something else entirely!
Anyway, I'll be sure to let you know once..... if I figure it all out.
Come out of things unsaid...

New beginnings......
Well, we made it, 2012 is finally here and already we're into the second week!! And the count down to 2013 has already begun but before we all get too excited, we still have this brand new year to contend with and all the New Years Resolutions that come with it too.
It's the first official week back at uni this week but lucky for me I've got the week off due to a little something called feedback week, which I'm enjoying a little bit too much to the resentment of all my friends. Unfortunately its not all good news though as this is my final term at uni, as of the beginning of May I will be finished, it's something I'm both looking forward to and am quite nervous about, mainly due to the fact that I have so much work to do I can't possibly see me getting it all completed in time! On the upside though it's a new beginning, a new chapter in my life, I'll be leaving the student life behind and joining the real world, a place where you have to quickly become responsible and mature if you're not to be pushed to the way side like an old unused toy!
On a more happier note, I've finally started learning to play the guitar, something I've wanted to do for a long long time now!! It all started when I got my guitar for Christmas and with a little help from a certain friend I'm on my way to becoming the worlds greatest guitar player, well that's if I ever get used to my fingers feeling like they are on fire! Who know that learning to play the guitar would be so painful!?!?
Well I have to be up for rowing tomorrow at 10 past 5 which means I need to hit the sack.
So sleep well.

First post ramblings.......
OK, so this is my first blog. I've been wanting to set one up for a while now and what with the New Year knocking at the door what better time to start, that, and the fact I mentioned it to a friend and since then I've had no peace, but maybe without all her nagging it would have been later rather than sooner that I started!
Right now I have Feeder on the CD player as I'm watching the clock tick towards midnight and the start of New Years Eve, in a few hours time I will be heading back down to London and as of yet I haven't even started to pack. For once I'm feeling a little excited about New Years Eve, I'm meeting up with one of my friends and we're going to join the mass of people who flood the banks of the Thames each year to oggle the firework extravaganzer, even though year after year I always think to myself 'these people must be mad!'. Now I will be one of them and I am thoroughly looking forward it!
Not only that but 2012 is going to be one massive year, one that fills me with excitement and trepidation, a year that promises a lot but ultimately it's down to me to deliver! A year in which I graduate and eventually move, finally, into that big, open world. Before that though I have five months of hard work but not only that five months of fun with some very special people!
Well, I had better sign off, I have one very eager friend you can't wait to read this for some reason and I still have a lot of packing to do and an early start!
Hope you all have a fantastic New Year and are doing something special to celebrate it in style
